The Paras jump from a C130 Hercules plane that flies in at low level, hugging the terrain to avoid radar. It's quite a rollercoaster ride! Whatever your views on the military you have to admit it takes certain amount of nerve to jump from a plane at an altitude where a parachute only just has time to open.
